Our principal activity at present is scholarship and creative activity. Our work centers in the following areas:
- fundamental theory generally, and social theory in partiuclar, which restores theoria to its origin as an encounter with the sacred while fully incorporating the insights of the secular sciences,
- philosohical synthesis focused on regrounding the dialectical tradition in response to deconstructionst critiques and in dialogue with both secular science and with humanity's diverse spiritual traditions
- developing a global Convivencia theology which engages quesitons of meaning and value across as well as within traditions and which fully engages the secular project,
- political-theological analysis and strategic assessments which attempt to understand historical and contemporary developments in the broader context of the human civilizational project and its ordering to transcendental ends, while charting the next steps in that project. Our social theory, philosophy, theology, and political theological analysis and strategy can be accessed through our blog and books and through my academia.edu home page.
- nonlinear, transmedia narrative crossing the boundaries between magic realism and science fiction, and creating the world and backstory for an altereality --an alternate reality game designed to actually change the world. (For more information about this dimension of our work, visit The Desire to Be God.)
- preliminary work towards the development of hortic and alchemical technology which, rather than breaking down existing forms of organization, physical, biological and social, in order to release energy and do work (the industrial paradigm), instead tap into and cultivate the drive of matter towards higher degrees of organization. The Alchemist's Kitchen is one expression of this work.
